What We're Reading: Let Them

In the last year you have probably heard the phrase, "Let Them."  If not, I highly recommend listening to Mel Robbin's podcast and reading this book. One thing that I like about Mel, is that she is so relatable! As I was reading this book, I felt like it was her and I having a conversation and she knew exactly how I was feeling. Another reason why I love Mel so much, is that she can turn the scientific facts into something that I can understand and retain.

What We're Reading: The Dollhouse

My latest discovery amongst our library shelves is a historical fiction novel, 'The Dollhouse,' by Fiona Davis. I would also categorize this book as a mystery and yes, it is worth reading. This fast-paced book invites you into the lives of Rose, a modern-day journalist, and Darby, a young woman who had gone to secretary school and was staying at the Barbizon Hotel, in 1952.

What We're Reading: The Unmaking of June Farrow

Adrienne Young's 'The Unmaking of June Farrow' takes the reader on a tale of parallel timelines with an untrustworthy narrator. In the mountain town of Jasper, June Farrow grapples with her family's curse, linked to her mother Susanna's mysterious disappearance. She's plagued by haunting visions & is determined to break the family curse even at the cost of her own sanity.

What We're Reading: The Light We Lost

If you are in the habit of checking Goodreads before checking out your books, then this one will show mixed reviews. 'The Light We Lost' by Jill Santopolo starts the story where Lucy and Gabe meet in college on the day of September 11, 2001. They have an instant connection on that day and feel the need to do something that matters to the world.
